Solar Water Heater Subsidy Program 2023

Today, applications for inclusion in the solar water heater subsidy program begin and expire on June 20, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. Beneficiaries must be born up to 2006, live permanently in Greece, must have a Tax Registration Number as well as access codes to the AADE electronic services, have submitted a tax return (E1) for the year 2021, or as a taxpayer individual or joint declaration, or indirectly as "SPOUSE/SPO1" in case of a joint one. Have an active domestic electricity supply through which the residence is identified. Have an electric water heater with a capacity of ≥ 40 liters, while for each new subsidized water heater, the old one will be recycled through an approved alternative waste management system at a recycling agency.

Natural persons participating in the program will submit their application through gov.gr. To submit the application, it is necessary to log in using taxisnet codes, then the declaration of the 11-digit electricity supply number of the house in which the water heater to be replaced is located, the declaration of the suitability of installing the new water heater without being limited by apartment building regulations, building operation regulations etc., the declaration of the existence of a person with a disability in the family so that he can be cross-checked through KEPA (Disability Certification Center), a phone number to which a unique one-time OTP code will be sent and will be used after his approval to apply for the subsidy, and additionally some e-mail address.

• For annual income up to €5,000 per family member: 60% subsidy (from €612 to €904)
• For annual income from €5,001 to €10,000 per family member: 50% subsidy (from €561 to €829)
• For annual income from €10,001 to €30,000 per family member: 50% subsidy (from €510 to €754)
